Trump: I Believe We Will Succeed in Ending the Ukrainian Crisis

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his belief that his administration is capable of ending the conflict in Ukraine, during an interview with British channel GB News.

Trump said: "I believe we will achieve that," and previously stated in media reports that he wishes to hold a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "when there is an opportunity to reach a peace agreement," noting that the meeting could be organized immediately but prefers to wait until both sides are ready for a final deal.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed ongoing communications with the U.S. administration, expressing hope that these efforts will lead to positive outcomes, during his speech at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum.

Putin also emphasized that Russia supports restoring full relations with Washington, but stressed this depends on the position taken by the U.S. side.
