Trump: Iran May Be Involved in FlyDubai Plane Incident and Will Be Targeted Severely If Proven

US President Donald Trump, responding to journalists' questions regarding the "FlyDubai" plane incident and the possibility of Iranian involvement, said: "Based on what I hear, I can say the answer is yes, but we are currently investigating."

Trump was then asked whether the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had placed the pilot of the "FlyDubai" flight on board this trip, or if he had been radicalized in another way and then attempted to bring down the plane. Trump replied: "That could be, yes."

In response to a question about whether the United States would retaliate if Iran's involvement in this incident is confirmed, Trump said: "They will be targeted severely. Don't worry."
