US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the United States "may join" Saudi strikes on Houthi militias, following "recent attacks," noting that he has not yet made a decision.

Trump mentioned that he will "decide quickly regarding joining Saudi Arabia in striking the Houthis." He added: "We might do it, and we will consider it. We just learned about the latest attack, so we will make a decision. We are moving very fast."

Trump's remarks came after the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority reported on Saturday that King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was subjected to an attack, resulting in injuries. The authority continued by stating that operational activities at the airport were temporarily suspended until damage assessment is completed and facility safety is verified.

For his part, Colonel Major Majid Al-Nuzaili, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced the execution of more than 1,900 direct and precise targeting operations on the eastern, western, and southwestern fronts during the last 24 hours. These operations targeted weapons and ammunition depots, fortifications, camps, military sites, points on governing bodies occupied by the enemy, reinforcements, mobilization and assembly areas, field artillery positions, means of transporting personnel and supplies, as well as legitimate high-value military targets deep within areas controlled by the terrorist Houthi militias.

According to initial field estimates, the operations resulted in neutralizing more than 1,150 militia members, and destroying or disabling more than 180 vehicles and combat, transport, and supply means, weakening their ability to maneuver, provide support, and sustain combat operations. The spokesperson added that ground forces continued to develop their offensive, achieving new field progress, recapturing positions, extending control over additional governing bodies, and consolidating achieved gains.
