Trump Says US Is Making 'Unprecedented Fortune' Amid Iran War Critics
President Donald Trump claimed the US is generating unprecedented wealth from rising oil prices while promising to restore pre-war fuel costs during an Arizona rally.

US President Donald Trump confirmed early Thursday morning that the United States is "making a fortune" unprecedentedly thanks to rising oil prices. He also reaffirmed his commitment to restoring prices to pre-Iran war levels during a campaign rally in Arizona.
Speaking at the rally held in Bullhead City, Trump said, "Our country is making more money than ever before because of high oil prices. Now they will say: Isn't that terrible? He talked about the fact that he doesn't care about the average citizen," as reported by CNN.
He added: "I care about the average citizen more than I care about big shots; I care deeply about the average citizen. But the truth is that we are - due to oil prices - making a fortune in states like Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, and others. Nevertheless, I never talk about this matter, because I won't be satisfied until we bring the actual price of oil back to what it was previously."
According to CNN, these remarks come as Americans continue to pay exorbitant costs at gas stations due to the war.
It is noted that Trump indicated in March that rising oil prices represent an opportunity for the United States to make money, given its status as the world's largest oil producer, but this was at a time when administration officials were still describing the rise in fuel prices as a "temporary disruption."
