Turkey's Ministry of National Defense announced on Wednesday that Turkey, Qatar, Indonesia, and Pakistan signed the "Badr" memorandum in Doha to strengthen cooperation in military production and defense capabilities.

In a statement, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense said: "In a step reflecting the commitment to enhancing joint cooperation and developing strategic partnerships, a multilateral memorandum of understanding, named 'Badr', was signed today in Doha, the capital of Qatar, between the Ministry of Defense of the State of Qatar, the Ministry of Defense of Indonesia, the Ministry of Defense of Pakistan, and the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey."

The memorandum was signed by Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Sani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs in Qatar; Yusuf Johari, Deputy Minister of Defense in Indonesia; Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister of Defense in Pakistan; and Yasar Guler, Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey.

This memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of military production, raise the level of military capabilities of the four countries, and support cooperation in technical military training, research, and development. This initiative will contribute to innovating solutions and industries compatible with the development of modern defense systems.

The agreement is named "Badr", meaning "Full Moon", because it complements the efforts of the four signatory countries and holds significant military and economic importance.

The agreement has great economic significance for the signatory countries, as cooperation and integration will be achieved by leveraging each country's capabilities in military production, developing defense industry capacities, and thus meeting the needs of allied and friendly nations.

Furthermore, this agreement will contribute to expanding the scope of military cooperation among participating countries, improving their relations in the defense industry sector, and strengthening multilateral cooperation to support security and stability, enabling the achievement of common goals.
