UK Maritime Body: Report of Incident Inside Strait of Hormuz
The UK Maritime Operations Agency reported an incident in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, where a container ship was struck by an unknown projectile.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) stated that it received a report of an incident inside the Strait of Hormuz today, Tuesday.
It quoted a reliable source confirming that a container ship was hit by an unknown projectile.
Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz decreased by 29.6% during the period from October 5 to 11, recording 143 transits compared to 203 transits in the previous week, according to "Marine Traffic" data.
This comes amid ongoing attacks on tankers and a decline in vessel traffic entering the Persian Gulf.
Transit volumes fluctuated throughout the week, from a peak of 32 transits on October 5 to 7 transits on the 10th of the same month.
The figures remain preliminary, with the possibility of rising after verification of vessels that did not activate their Automatic Identification System
