UK Moves Forward... Israel Vows Retaliation!

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar warned the UK against imposing sanctions on his country over construction tenders in the E1 settlement area, emphasizing that Israel will retaliate with countermeasures if London takes this step.

"In the UK, there is a government acting systematically against Israel," Sa'ar said in an interview with Yedioth Ahronoth. "They have already harmed defense exports and imposed sanctions on our ministers, driven by their domestic policy." He added: "If the UK moves against the State of Israel, then the State of Israel will move against the UK."

When asked about the nature of potential actions Israel might take, he stated: "We have tools, and I say this clearly and firmly. If they act, they will make a grave mistake," without disclosing details of the possible response. He argued that UK sanctions could constitute interference in Israel's electoral system, stressing that "the outcome would be the opposite of what London expects."
