Ukraine Accuses Washington of Blocking Missile Warnings
A senior Ukrainian official accuses the US of aiding Russia by withholding missile attack warnings and slowing Starlink services amid rising tensions.

A senior Ukrainian official told AFP on Wednesday that the United States is helping Russia in its war against Ukraine, stating that Washington did not warn Kyiv in advance about Russian attacks and also slowed down "Starlink" services.
The official, who requested anonymity, added: "We have not received warnings from Washington in two cases so far regarding launches of Russian ballistic missiles in a large-scale ballistic attack on the energy sector," adding that "Furthermore, the Americans reduced the speed of the Starlink network."
These developments come amid escalating public disagreements between Washington and Kyiv, following US President Donald Trump's call for choosing new leadership in Ukraine capable of brokering a peace deal.
US President Donald Trump called on Saturday for the selection of new leadership in Ukraine, criticizing his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy and demanding he stop targeting Russian oil refineries, according to Reuters.
Trump told reporters at the White House: "He better stop doing that," one day after announcing he had reached an agreement allowing Russia to supply diesel to global markets.
Referring to Zelenskyy, he said: "I suggest they choose a new leader capable of making a deal."
On Friday, Zelenskyy criticized the announcement of a US-Russian agreement on diesel supplies, warning of its implications for the war between Moscow and Kyiv.
He affirmed that Ukraine is ready to take reciprocal steps to de-escalate, while simultaneously warning that "giving gifts to (Russian President Vladimir) Putin will not achieve peace," as he put it.
US President Donald Trump had announced that he agreed with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to supply the American and global markets with more than 300,000 tons of diesel fuel.
CNN News previously reported citing European officials that the Trump administration warned Ukraine and its European allies that the United States might suspend intelligence sharing and European countries' purchases of US weapons designated for Ukraine if Kyiv does not halt long-range attacks on Russian energy facilities.
Another source familiar with the matter said the United States threatened to stop sharing intelligence information.
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump stated that the United States continues to share intelligence with Ukraine and wants to end the war.
He added to journalists: "We are helping them, we are sharing intelligence information. We want the war to end, so we are working with them and with Russia to end the war," according to Reuters.
