Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that intelligence reports indicate Russia is preparing a new large-scale offensive against Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced on Friday that intelligence information reveals Russia is preparing to launch a new extensive attack on Ukraine, according to Reuters.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, Russia declared its intention to carry out "a series of coordinated strikes" targeting locations in Kyiv, while urging foreigners and diplomats to leave the country.
Through a message on Telegram, Zelenskiy called for the imposition of additional sanctions on Russia and emphasized that the implementation of agreements with partners concerning air defense should not be delayed.
In a related development, Zelenskiy requested additional Patriot missiles from former U.S. President Donald Trump to counter Russian attacks.
On the same day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its forces had taken control of three new towns and conducted five joint strikes against sites and facilities belonging to the Ukrainian armed forces over the past week.
The ministry stated in a release that Russian army units liberated the town of Lysenoi in the Dnipropetrovsk region within the last 24 hours, as reported by the Russian Sputnik agency.
