US Imposes New Sanctions on Two Iranian Airlines
The US Treasury announced sanctions restricting two Iranian airlines from accessing airports, refueling, and ticket sales.

Scott Bessant, the US Treasury Secretary, declared that the United States will impose measures against two Iranian airlines. These measures will prohibit the airlines from accessing airports, refueling facilities, and conducting ticket sales.
According to Reuters, the US Treasury Secretary confirmed that Iranian airlines will be barred from landing, refueling, and selling tickets in US-controlled or allied territories.
In a related announcement on the X platform, Bessant warned companies and countries against paying fees to Iran for the transit of tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that the US maritime blockade has reduced Iranian oil exports transported by sea to their lowest levels ever recorded.
The US Treasury Secretary emphasized that this decline in Iranian oil exports will persist unless a "satisfactory outcome" is reached in the ongoing negotiations with Iran.
