The Pentagon, along with US Defense Secretary Pete Higgsith, declared the full success of the initial live trial of the "Golden Dome" system, which independently intercepted aerial threats using directed energy under combat conditions.

Defense Secretary Higgsith announced the completion of the first significant live test of the "Golden Dome for America" (GDA) system, marking a decisive milestone for the ambitious national missile shield project championed by President Donald Trump.

“Today, the first milestone test of Golden Dome for America (GDA) was a full mission success — and I was honored to witness it firsthand. Cutting edge directed energy was harnessed and the Dynamic Defense Autonomous Defeat (DDAD) system flawlessly and autonomously cued, targeted,…” Higgsith wrote on the platform X.

In his post, Higgsith praised the experiment, confirming that the system successfully detected and neutralized numerous incoming aerial threats, including drones and cruise missiles, without error.

He explained that the Dynamic Defense Autonomous Defeat (DDAD) systems, supported by next-generation directed energy technologies, operated fully autonomously to track, target, and destroy threats simultaneously.

US media outlets, citing Pentagon officials, reported that the secret test took place at an undisclosed military range. The trial evaluated the system’s efficiency amid intense electronic warfare conditions and simulated real battlefield scenarios.

This achievement results from collaboration between established and emerging companies, funded through what has been called the "One Big Beautiful Law." Higgsith emphasized that this historic progress turns President Trump’s vision—drawn from President Ronald Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI)—into reality, highlighting that the "Golden Dome" now serves as a robust and tangible shield protecting US territory with an advanced ground and space-based defense layer.
