US Vice President JD Vance stated that Iran has accepted the International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors' return following initial US-Iran talks on Middle East conflict resolution.

US Vice President JD Vance announced that Iran has agreed to allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors to return, following a first round of US-Iranian discussions aimed at definitively ending the war in the Middle East.
Speaking to reporters at the Burgenstock resort in Switzerland on Monday, Vance said, "The Iranians have agreed to invite the IAEA inspectors back."
He added that this development "constitutes a major step for the American people and the first move towards nuclear disarmament or permanently ending Iran's nuclear weapons program."
Iran has consistently denied Western accusations that it seeks to acquire nuclear weapons, emphasizing the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.
However, Tehran halted visits by inspectors to its nuclear facilities after Israel and the United States bombed those sites in June 2025.
