Washington Approves $2.27 Billion in Arms Sales to Egypt, Kuwait and UAE
The US State Department has approved potential arms sales totaling $2.27 billion to Egypt, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.

The US State Department has approved potential arms sales to Egypt, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, with a total value of $2.27 billion.
According to a statement issued by the State Department on Monday, the UAE accounts for the largest share of the sales value at approximately $1.041 billion, including APKW-S-2 guidance parts and related components.
The department also approved a potential deal for Egypt valued at an estimated $832 million, which includes up to 2,020 FGM-148F Javelin anti-tank missiles, as well as approximately 200 lightweight Javelin launch units.
Regarding Kuwait, the US State Department approved the provision of spare parts and repair services for Patriot missile systems worth nearly $400 million.
In September, the US State Department had approved a potential military sales package for Saudi Arabia worth $24.3 billion, which included 48 F-35 fighter jets and 49 engines.
