What's Happening Is Just a 'Military Maneuver'.. Trump Reveals Iran's Losses
Axios reports that the White House suspended strikes on Iranian missiles and drones in the Strait of Hormuz to avoid escalation before US elections, while President Donald Trump claimed extensive destruction of Iran's military capabilities.

Axios reported, citing a US official, that the White House has suspended attacks targeting Iranian missiles and drones in the Strait of Hormuz, aiming to avoid further escalation ahead of the US elections.
This comes as US President Donald Trump spoke about the widespread destruction of Iranian military capabilities, emphasizing that what is happening with Tehran is not a war, but merely a "military maneuver."
Avoiding Escalation
Axios cited a US official stating that the White House decided to suspend targeting Iranian missiles and drones in the Strait of Hormuz, in an attempt to avoid military escalation before the elections.
According to the official, the suspension of strikes made Iran bolder in carrying out attacks aimed at raising oil prices and exerting pressure on Trump.
Destruction of the Iranian Navy
In contrast, Trump announced that US forces destroyed the Iranian navy and eliminated its air force.
He said that 289 Iranian aircraft were turned into scattered wreckage across the region and on airport runways.
He also spoke about targeting Iranian military leadership, confirming the elimination of second-level commanders and the targeting of part of the third-level leadership.
Trump described the ongoing military operations as not being a war, noting that what is happening with Iran is "just a military maneuver," a characterization that coincides with continued tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump confirmed that the US Navy is enforcing an effective blockade, claiming that no Iranian vessel has been able to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
He also stated that the United States knows all Iranian movements and statements, including classified information he indicated he had just revealed.
