Yemeni Forces Claim Two Precision Attacks on Aramco Sites in Saudi Arabia

The Yemeni armed forces affiliated with the Ansar Allah movement reported on Saturday the execution of two precision operations targeting Saudi Aramco facilities located in Jizan and Yanbu.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, stated that Saudi forces launched a series of unjust air raids overnight against the city and port of Hodeidah as well as Kamaran Island, causing both material and psychological damage. He added that Yemeni air defenses engaged a formation of enemy aircraft after they breached Yemeni airspace, successfully preventing further attacks.

In response to this blatant aggression, the Yemeni armed forces carried out two military operations. The first targeted sensitive installations belonging to Aramco in Jizan using dozens of ballistic missiles and drones. The second operation struck critical Aramco targets in Yanbu with a combination of ballistic and cruise missiles along with drones. Both operations reportedly achieved their objectives with precise and direct hits, according to Brigadier General Saree.

He further emphasized that the escalation in aggression demonstrates the Saudi enemy’s determination to continue its blockade against the Yemeni people and violate Yemen's sovereignty, actions that are unacceptable and will be firmly confronted by the Yemeni people with full strength and resolve.

The spokesperson affirmed the Yemeni armed forces’ commitment to their duty in defending the country and its people, stating that the enemy will encounter only resistance and confrontation from the side of right against wrong.

Brigadier General Saree concluded by confirming that the naval blockade imposed on Saudi Arabia remains in effect as a response to the enemy’s ongoing aggression and unjust siege lasting twelve years. He warned that Yemen will not hesitate to expand its operations and escalate measures based on developments in the coming hours and days, following a principle of blockade in response to blockade and escalation in response to escalation.

Iranian media reported on Saturday that violent explosions shook the Saudi city of Jizan, referring to missile strikes by Houthi forces targeting an Aramco facility.

The Saudi Civil Defense activated early warning alarms in Jizan and Yanbu to alert residents of a potential threat, without providing further details.

The Civil Defense urged the public to continue following instructions and to avoid gatherings and filming.

Saudi authorities have not released official updates regarding the incidents. However, Reuters cited Greek security sources stating that Saudi air defense systems intercepted two ballistic missiles launched from Yemen aimed at oil refineries in Yanbu. No immediate official reports of damage were available.

The sources noted that the air defense system was operated by personnel from the Greek military. Greece has deployed a U.S.-made Patriot air defense battery in Saudi Arabia since 2021 under an agreement intended to help protect the kingdom’s energy infrastructure.

Greek security sources also reported that later on Saturday, the Patriot system shot down a drone launched from Yemen in the Yanbu area.
