Yemeni Interior Ministry: Houthis Targeted Coast Guard Forces in Aden
The Yemeni Interior Ministry announced that Houthi militias targeted the Coast Guard headquarters and a building in Aden with ballistic missiles, threatening security and civilian safety.
The General Administration of Moral Guidance and Public Relations at the Yemeni Ministry of Interior stated today, Saturday, that the Houthi militia targeted the Coast Guard headquarters at the ministry's premises in the temporary capital Aden, specifically in the Khor Maksar district, with two ballistic missiles, and the Coast Guard building in the Tawahi district with a third ballistic missile, in an attack targeting security and service facilities in Aden.
The General Administration of Moral Guidance and Public Relations clarified to the public opinion that this targeting is an extension of previous attacks that affected civilian and vital facilities in Aden, including Aden International Airport, which was targeted by ballistic missiles and drone flights on more than one occasion.
The ministry indicated that targeting vital facilities and public services threatens the security and stability of the capital, endangers the safety of citizens, and has repercussions for institutions undertaking security and service tasks to serve society.
It affirmed that competent authorities continue to take necessary measures, gather information and evidence to assess damages resulting from the targeting, and determine appropriate measures to enhance security and stability in the capital Aden, ensuring citizen safety and protecting public facilities.
