Google Photos launches Video Remix feature powered by Gemini Omni
Google Photos introduces Video Remix, an AI-driven tool using Gemini Omni for quick, stylized video editing across multiple countries.

Starting today, Google Photos is introducing a new Video Remix feature that utilizes Gemini’s “create anything from any input” model to enable rapid and stylized video edits.
This tool allows users to select a video clip from their library and apply various creative templates, such as “Set my video in a greenhouse,” which replaces plain backgrounds with imaginative scenes. Another notable template, “Paint my video in dreamy watercolor,” transforms footage into artistic styles like sketchbook and oil painting.
Besides artistic effects, Video Remix offers practical enhancements, including “Relight my video with a morning glow,” which applies cinematic lighting adjustments to brighten darker clips.
The feature aims to convert ordinary clips into “share-worthy moments in just a few taps,” eliminating the need for professional editing skills or extended time investments.
Video Remix will be accessible within the Create tab of Google Photos, alongside existing options such as the image-based Remix, Photo to video, and Collages.
The rollout targets Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers in Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Turkey, and the United States.
