Jensen Huang, chief executive of Nvidia, stated on Wednesday that the world is entering a new era of industrial revolution driven by artificial intelligence. Speaking at the GTC technology conference in Berlin, the leader of the world’s most valuable company emphasized that every business in Europe will inevitably transform into an AI-dependent entity.

Europe's Role in AI Economy

Huang identified Europe as a fundamental player in this emerging "AI economy." He noted that Nvidia has maintained deep roots on the continent for 33 years, tracing its history from early electronic chip development to current strategic partnerships with major industrial firms such as Siemens, Volkswagen, and Mercedes-Benz.

The executive revealed that Nvidia invested nearly $10 billion—approximately €8.9 billion—in the European market over the past year alone. This capital was directed toward strengthening a network comprising both established corporations and startups within the region.

Hardware Innovations Announced

During his keynote address, Huang presented new hardware solutions, including specialized desktop computers known as "RTX Spark." These devices are designed to enable users to execute complex AI tasks locally, eliminating the need for reliance on external computing centers. The initiative aims to broaden access to this technology for developers and companies alike.

Huang described the current shift as more than just software adoption; he argued that enterprises will now operate their own "AI factories." Unlike traditional manufacturing, these facilities will not produce physical goods but rather generate digital intelligence applicable across various sectors, ranging from drug development to efficient energy distribution.

Physical AI and Security Measures

"After decades of progress in the computing industry, we now stand on the threshold of a new industrial revolution," Huang said. He highlighted "physical AI" as a key focus area, referring to machines capable of understanding and interacting with the real world rather than merely processing data.

The presentation included demonstrations of robots using AI to adapt to their environments and complete tasks. Huang characterized this capability as the next wave of artificial intelligence: systems that comprehend the physical world.

To ensure the safe operation of these autonomous systems, Nvidia also unveiled new security concepts. These measures aim to enforce strict compliance rules for digital assistants, known as "agents," preventing them from accessing sensitive corporate data without authorization.
