England’s premier striker has finalized his decision regarding his future in Germany. Bayern Munich has secured a preliminary deal with English forward Harry Kane to prolong his tenure at the club, concluding weeks of negotiations between the two parties, as reported by press sources.

Official Paperwork Underway

Michael Bridge, a prominent British journalist working for Sky Sports, stated on Thursday that the Bavarian giants are currently completing the official documentation required to extend Kane’s contract through the summer of 2029.

Record-Breaking Arrival from Tottenham

Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023 under a four-year agreement set to expire on June 30, 2027. While the club did not disclose the transfer fee at the time, media reports estimated the cost at approximately €100 million, establishing a new record for the German league.

Positive Dialogue and Recent Form

German outlets indicated last summer that both sides intended to renew the partnership until at least 2029. Max Eberl, Bayern’s sporting director, characterized the discussions as highly harmonious. On the pitch, Kane continues to perform strongly this season, scoring twice in Bayern’s 3-3 away draw against Viking FK of Norway on Tuesday during the second round of the Champions League group stage.

Ballon d’Or Contender

The English star remains one of the leading candidates for the 2026 Ballon d’Or award, which is scheduled to be presented in London on October 26.
