Beckham Linked to FC Nantes Acquisition Amid Club’s Winless Start

According to French outlet Le Parisien, David Beckham is part of a group of investors reportedly seeking to acquire FC Nantes.

Nantes acquisition reportedly under consideration

The report states: “David Beckham, who already owns Inter Miami, may be interested in acquiring FC Nantes. Former English national soccer team player David Beckham is reportedly part of a group of investors looking to acquire FC Nantes.”

Le Parisien adds that “even if this remains, for now, just a rumor or a fantasy—and the negotiation process is likely to be long and delicate—Beckham’s potential arrival would be good news for the image and popularity of the Nantes club and the French league.”

FC Nantes currently occupy last place in the league table after losing all three of their opening fixtures.

Inter Miami and Salford City ownership

Beckham is the owner of Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi plays and former Manchester United star Casemiro is currently on the roster.

He also owns English club Salford City.

Beckham is listed by the Times Rich List as the UK’s first sportsperson billionaire.

Manchester United playing record

Beckham made 394 appearances for Manchester United and scored 85 goals.

His honors with the club include multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, and the 1999 Champions League.

He departed Manchester United in 2003 following a disagreement with manager Sir Alex Ferguson and subsequently spent four seasons at Real Madrid.

His playing career also included stints at LA Galaxy, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain before his retirement in 2013.

Beckham earned 115 caps for England and served as national team captain.
