Cristiano Ronaldo was seen praying alongside Al-Nassr teammates before a key match, raising questions about his possible embrace of Islam.

Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo prayed with his Al-Nassr teammates prior to their match against Damac, which culminated in Al-Nassr winning the Saudi league title, according to sources.
Saad Al-Subaie, former legal director of Al-Nassr Club, confirmed that Ronaldo performed the prayer with the players before the decisive Damac game.
In a tweet on the X platform, Al-Subaie stated, "Confirmed: before the last match against Damac, Ronaldo prayed with the players and tried to imitate them in bowing and prostrating. May God open his heart to Islam."
Former Al-Nassr goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah also revealed that Ronaldo once asked the coach to pause training upon hearing the call to prayer and frequently encourages players to pray.
Waleed Abdullah said, "Ronaldo urges players to pray and stops training during the call to prayer."
Ronaldo has shown considerable respect for Islam by joining his teammates in celebrations and expressing admiration for Islamic teachings.
He has been observed murmuring words before taking shots, seemingly saying "Bismillah," and also appeared to raise his hands in supplication during penalty kicks.
The 41-year-old Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 after terminating his contract with Manchester United.
