During a World Cup press conference, Morgan Rogers was unexpectedly challenged by teammate Djed Spence over who is the fastest player in the England squad.

At the England team's World Cup training base in Kansas City, midfielder Morgan Rogers encountered an unplanned moment during a media session when teammate Djed Spence interrupted to settle a debate about the squad's fastest player.
While Rogers was delivering a scheduled press briefing at KC Parks, Spence, a Tottenham full-back, unexpectedly took the microphone, posing as a novice journalist to question Rogers directly. This lighthearted interruption aimed to clarify an ongoing discussion within the team about their top sprinter.
Spence asked Rogers, "There's been a lot of speculation in recent weeks about who's the fastest in the squad. Is it true that Djed Spence is fastest in the squad?"
Rogers responded with laughter before addressing the question seriously, mentioning another player in the mix. "Let's just say I wouldn't bet against you in a race," he said to Spence. "But there's a couple saying that they might have you. Anthony Gordon being one of them so I'd like to see that race. We'll see who wins. But I wouldn't bet against you."
England is now preparing to face Norway in the quarter-finals in Miami. Following a red card shown to centre-back Jarell Quansah during their recent match against Mexico, coach Thomas Tuchel will need to adjust the defensive lineup. Despite this, the team’s confidence remains high after their victory over Mexico and the strong form of Jude Bellingham as they aim for a semi-final spot.
