Enrique Declines Comment on Barcola Amid Arsenal, Liverpool Transfer Rumors

Twenty-three-year-old French international Bradley Barcola remains at Paris Saint-Germain amid confirmed summer speculation linking him with transfers to Arsenal and Liverpool, according to reports identifying Andoni Iraola’s Reds as having targeted the player.

Barcola rejoined PSG training following his participation in the World Cup, where he scored three goals as France finished fourth. The club’s next competitive fixture is Wednesday’s UEFA Super Cup match against Aston Villa.

“I don’t know and I don’t want to speak about any player individually,” Enrique stated when questioned specifically about Barcola’s future.

“Because it’s always dangerous when you are asking something positive or negative about a player. I stay focused on my team.”

Pre-season disruption and squad readiness

Enrique acknowledged widespread absences during pre-season matches due to delayed returns from the World Cup, noting uncertainty over players’ physical condition ahead of the campaign’s opening competitive match.

“In the pre-season matches, we had a lot of absences. It’s hard to predict who will play. For every team, it’s important to win a European trophy, and we’ll see what kind of match both teams can deliver this Wednesday. I don’t have players.

“Some returned this Monday, others came back last week. We are trying to prepare in the best way possible. I don’t know what kind of physical condition my players will be in.”
