Georgina Rodriguez Shares Emotional Tribute After Ronaldo's World Cup Exit
Georgina Rodriguez posted a heartfelt message on Instagram following Portugal's defeat and Ronaldo's emotional departure from the World Cup.

After Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, lost 1-0 to Spain with a last-minute goal by Mikel Merino, Ronaldo was seen crying on the pitch. He then walked off the field with heavy steps reflecting feelings of frustration, sadness, and disappointment.
Georgina Rodriguez expressed her emotions by sharing a post on her Instagram Story shortly after the final whistle. The 32-year-old model reposted a message from Nike, Ronaldo’s sponsor, on her Instagram account.
The post featured a poignant side profile image of Ronaldo accompanied by the phrase "His legend lives forever" alongside Nike’s iconic logo. Rodriguez, who has approximately 75 million followers on social media, added a red heart emoji above the repost.
The 41-year-old Portuguese star, the only player in history to have scored in six World Cup tournaments, left the field in tears, deeply saddened by the outcome. It is anticipated that the 2026 World Cup will be Ronaldo’s final international tournament, having played over 240 matches for his national team.
