Liverpool and Arsenal Show Interest in Mexico Midfielder Gilberto Mora
Liverpool and Arsenal have expressed interest in signing 17-year-old Mexican midfielder Gilberto Mora from Club Tijuana, with Real Madrid also monitoring the player.

Seventeen-year-old Mexican midfielder Gilberto Mora has attracted inquiries from Liverpool and Arsenal as they consider potential transfers from Club Tijuana.
Mora participated in four matches for Mexico during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he was the youngest player selected for the tournament.
The midfielder’s swift progression includes 12 senior international appearances and setting the record as the youngest scorer in Mexico’s top division at 15 years and 320 days.
He also became the youngest player to win a senior international tournament by contributing to Mexico’s Gold Cup victory in 2025.
El Universal reports that Liverpool has formally approached Club Tijuana regarding Mora, while Arsenal is prepared to compete for his signature. Previous offers from European, MLS, and Brazilian clubs have been declined by Tijuana, as Mora is considered one of Mexico’s most promising talents.
Real Madrid has maintained long-term interest in the technical midfielder, but any transfer will be subject to FIFA rules that prevent Mora from joining a foreign senior team before his 18th birthday in October.
