Macron Congratulates Paris Saint-Germain on Champions League Victory

Paris Saint-Germain retained the Champions League trophy for the second year running by defeating English club Arsenal 4-3 in a penalty shootout during the final held on Saturday evening.

President Macron expressed his congratulations on his official account on the platform "X," tweeting: "A new star shines over Paris."

He added, "Bravo to Paris Saint-Germain who makes all of Europe dream.. France is proud."

Paris Saint-Germain had previously won the Champions League for the first time in their history during the 2024-2025 season by beating Italian club Inter Milan in the final, and they maintained the title by overcoming Arsenal in this season's final.
