Manchester City Appoints Enzo Maresca as Head Coach Until 2029
Manchester City has signed Enzo Maresca on a three-year contract to lead the team through the 2028-2029 season.

Manchester City has officially announced the signing of Enzo Maresca as head coach, with the club confirming in a statement that Maresca has agreed to a three-year contract extending through the summer of 2029. This appointment marks the start of a new leadership phase at the Etihad Stadium following one of the most successful eras in the club's history.
Maresca returns to Manchester City for the third time in his career. Previously, he served as the youth team coach before joining Pep Guardiola’s technical staff. He was part of the coaching team that contributed to the historic treble victory in 2023, which has given the club’s management significant confidence in his ability to continue the football project and maintain the team’s identity.
As the new head coach, Maresca faces a substantial challenge with the former English champions. He is expected to uphold the high standards of success achieved by Guardiola over a decade, during which the team secured numerous domestic and continental titles, while striving to lead Manchester City into a new era of competition and accomplishments.
