Manchester United Considers £140m Bid for Summerville and Fernandes
Manchester United is evaluating a £140 million offer for Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes amid potential changes in their squad.

Manchester United is reportedly contemplating a £140 million acquisition involving Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes from West Ham, as the club reviews its options for wide and midfield players, particularly if Marcus Rashford departs.
Summerville transferred from Leeds to West Ham in 2024 after West Ham activated his release clause, estimated at approximately £28 million. During the previous Championship season at Elland Road, he scored 21 goals and provided 10 assists.
After an initial adjustment period at West Ham, Summerville found form in early 2026, scoring six goals in seven matches. This performance helped maintain West Ham's hopes of avoiding relegation until the final day, when despite a 3-0 victory over Leeds, Tottenham’s win against Everton confirmed West Ham's relegation.
Manchester United aims to negotiate a reduced transfer fee, while West Ham seeks to profit from the winger's sale. According to The Athletic, Summerville's valuation stands near £50 million, reflecting his five goals and two assists in the Premier League last season.
His transfer value may be affected by his performance in the ongoing World Cup, which started positively with a curled goal in a 2-2 draw against Japan, featuring Ao Tanaka.
Following the match, Summerville reconnected with Gaby Ruiz, who played a significant role in his £1.5 million move from Feyenoord to Leeds in 2020 and is currently affiliated with DAZN. Ruiz praised Summerville's achievement of reaching the World Cup, and the player expressed gratitude to Ruiz and Victor Orta.
