Manchester United is reportedly close to finalizing a summer transfer for a midfielder, whereas Liverpool is anticipated to face firm interest in one of their World Cup stars.

Amid widespread transfer speculation, this report evaluates the top 20 Premier League-related rumors, ranking them by likelihood of completion.

Here is the current ranking of transfer rumors involving Premier League clubs:

Manchester United's Transfer Offers and Interests

Manchester United has reportedly proposed midfielder Manuel Ugarte to AC Milan. Milan previously helped United by reducing compensation costs related to Ruben Amorim. Despite Ugarte’s previous connection with United, it is suggested that Milan’s coach might advise against accepting United’s offer. United is unlikely to part with Ugarte easily.

The club is also in talks with West Ham over winger Crysencio Summerville, aiming to strengthen their left-wing options. Summerville, currently playing for the Netherlands at the World Cup, is valued at £50 million. United might wait for West Ham to lower their asking price following their relegation.

Mateus Fernandes from West Ham is considered the more probable signing among the two Hammers players linked to United. United’s pressing need for midfielders and Fernandes’s perceived value make this move more likely. However, a swift deal depends on competition from other suitors prompting United to act promptly.

Other Premier League and European Transfer Rumors

Barcelona has declined an opportunity to sign Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford for £26 million and has instead invested three times that amount in a rival England winger. Reports suggest Barcelona believes they can persuade Rashford to stay, but United is reportedly not considering this, indicating Rashford will move elsewhere.

Chelsea is linked with Newcastle’s Lewis Hall, following Marc Cucurella’s transfer to Real Madrid. While Hall’s return to Chelsea is plausible, the club might seek alternatives beyond simply re-signing a player they sold three years ago.

Real Madrid may pursue Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez, who reportedly envied Cucurella’s move. However, Chelsea’s £107 million investment in Fernandez last year could make negotiations challenging. Fernandez’s conduct near the transfer window’s end may be notable.

Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton has attracted interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, though both clubs face unresolved issues before negotiating with Palace.

Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur. Tonali’s agent has sought to facilitate a move since early in the year, with Spurs showing interest. However, Spurs have yet to begin negotiations with Newcastle.

Goalkeeper and Defensive Transfer Developments

Juventus is seeking a top goalkeeper and has considered Alisson and Jordan Pickford. Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa is reportedly more available, with personal terms agreed, but Villa remains firm on their valuation, requiring Juventus to act decisively.

Manchester City’s James Trafford, an England goalkeeper, aims to leave City’s bench this summer. Newcastle and Tottenham are interested, with the transfer likely depending on which club can offer playing opportunities first.

Brighton is negotiating with Tottenham over defender Luka Vuskovic, a highly regarded young prospect. Tottenham has declined a £35 million offer for Vuskovic, who has not yet played for Spurs. Brighton expects a significant price difference between Vuskovic and Jan Paul van Hecke, whose transfer to Tottenham reportedly has a £52 million offer accepted by Brighton. Both clubs are motivated to exchange players, suggesting a deal is possible.

Additional Transfer Speculations

Everton is linked with Manchester City’s Jack Grealish, who had a successful loan spell at Everton last season. Another loan or unexpected developments for the England player remain possible.

Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is reportedly desired by at least half of the Premier League’s Big Six clubs. Villa is open to selling Rogers for a price above £80 million, making this a likely summer move.

Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney appeared close to joining Everton, but negotiations have stalled over fees. Middlesbrough reportedly demands closer to £20 million plus £5 million in add-ons, creating a gap that could allow other clubs to intervene.

RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande is a target for Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. Liverpool is offering more money, but Diomande’s World Cup performance could attract higher bids from rivals.

Newcastle has identified Victor Munoz of Osasuna as a preferred replacement for Anthony Gordon. Real Madrid holds a stake in Munoz, complicating negotiations. All parties seem interested in a transfer around £35 million.

Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson has attracted Manchester City’s attention, with City’s latest bid of £106 million plus add-ons reaching £120 million. Despite previous rejections, this transfer is expected to be completed, though not quickly.
