Manchester United Plans £375,000 Weekly Deal to Retain Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United intends to offer Bruno Fernandes a £375,000-a-week contract to secure his future at the club following a record-breaking season.

Manchester United is preparing a substantial contract offer worth £375,000 per week for captain Bruno Fernandes, aiming to lock in the midfielder's long-term commitment at Old Trafford. This move comes after a record-breaking season and aims to eliminate any speculation about delaying contract discussions.
The club is fast-tracking negotiations to respond to transfer interest from wealthy Saudi Arabian teams and major European clubs. According to SportsBoom, the proposed deal will ensure Fernandes remains the central figure in the squad and dispel rumors of postponed talks.
Sources close to the negotiations reveal that Fernandes, 31, has no plans to leave Old Trafford despite lucrative offers from abroad. Having settled in Alderley Edge, he is dedicated to his leadership role within the team and aims to establish himself as a modern-day club legend. Fernandes reportedly believes the club is on the right track to regaining its former success.
The new contract would increase Fernandes’s salary by 50 percent from his current £250,000 weekly wage and include significant performance bonuses tied to Premier League and Champions League achievements. Manager Michael Carrick regards Fernandes as the core of the team, a view supported by the midfielder’s outstanding season where he earned the Premier League Player of the Season and Football Writers' Footballer of the Year awards, as well as setting a Premier League assist record with 21 assists.
Fernandes is currently under contract until next June, with the club holding an option for an additional year. However, club officials are optimistic that the lucrative offer will convince him to sign a new four- or five-year deal, committing his prime years to Manchester United.
As Fernandes focuses on Portugal’s upcoming World Cup campaign in the United States, the formal signing of the contract is expected after his return. This would provide Carrick with a stable squad ahead of the club’s European fixtures.
