Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah has launched a blistering attack on the club's current trajectory, posting a scathing statement on his official social media accounts that directly criticizes the team's style of play under Dutch manager Arne Slot. The outburst came immediately after Liverpool's crushing 4-2 defeat to Aston Villa.

"I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions," Salah wrote on his official X account. "It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that."

The Egyptian star continued: "Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and that is not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool return to that terrifying attacking team that rival teams fear, and to become a team that wins trophies again. This is the football I know how to play, and this is the identity that must be restored and preserved forever. This is non-negotiable, and everyone who joins this club must adapt to it."

"Winning some matches here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. Every team wins matches," Salah added.

The forward further emphasized his deep connection to the club: "Liverpool will always be a club that means a lot to me and my family, and I want to see it successful and continuing to succeed long after I leave."

In his closing remarks, Salah set a clear benchmark for the remainder of the season: "As I have always said, qualifying for the Champions League next season is the minimum, and I will do everything I can to achieve that."
