Rafinha Signals Interest to Al Hilal Despite Al Nassr's Pursuit
Rafinha declines to discuss his future before World Cup 2026 ends, hinting positively toward Al Hilal amid renewed Saudi interest.

Brazilian winger Rafinha, who plays for Barcelona and the Brazil national team, has declined to engage in any conversations about his future until after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup, despite renewed interest from Saudi club Al Hilal in acquiring his services during the upcoming transfer window.
Al Hilal has once again prioritized the Barcelona star in its recruitment plans for the new season, having previously attempted to sign him two years ago with a substantial offer. Meanwhile, Al Nassr has also entered negotiations, aiming to attract Rafinha to wear their "Al-Alami" jersey.
According to the Brazilian network "GE Globo," the Saudi club has reestablished contact with Rafinha to explore the possibility of signing him. However, the player has informed all parties involved that he will not discuss his future until after his participation with the Brazilian national team in the World Cup concludes.
This stance is viewed more as a positive indication toward Al Hilal rather than a rejection of the Saudi project, as Rafinha insisted only on postponing negotiations without closing the door to a potential future transfer.
Al Hilal is seeking to strengthen its squad following the loss of the Saudi league title to Al Nassr, planning several major signings ahead of the next season.
Two years ago, after the Copa America tournament, Al Hilal attempted to sign Rafinha, but he chose to remain at Barcelona, benefiting from the confidence placed in him by German coach Hansi Flick and aiming to maintain his position in the Brazilian national team ahead of the World Cup.
Despite ongoing communications between Rafinha and the club, negotiations remain in the early stages, as the player is fully focused on his World Cup campaign.
Rafinha is 29 years old and has been with Barcelona for four seasons. He has played 177 matches for the Catalan team, scoring 75 goals and providing 52 assists, totaling 127 goal contributions.
Currently, Rafinha is concentrating on Brazil’s 2026 World Cup journey, preparing for their second group stage match against Haiti, after the "Seleção" started the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Morocco.
