Ruben Amorim has expressed regret to Manchester United supporters for not addressing them after his dismissal earlier this year.

Ruben Amorim has conveyed his apologies to Manchester United supporters for failing to acknowledge them after his departure in January.
Earlier this year, Amorim was relieved of his duties as head coach following a challenging 14-month tenure. During his time, the club recorded its lowest Premier League finish in the 2024/25 season and was defeated by Tottenham in the Europa League final.
Currently managing AC Milan, Amorim aims to apply lessons learned from his previous role. He recently expressed regret over his silence since leaving Manchester United and emphasized his pride in having coached the team.
“It is hard to explain the mistakes as I would have to explain all the context of the last adventure,” he stated.
He added, “The only thing I can say is that I learn a lot and I did some mistakes.”
Amorim also noted, “I didn’t have [the] opportunity – and I am sorry for that – to say something to the Manchester United fans at the moment [but] I am really proud to have been their coach for a year.”
He reflected on his experience, saying, “Now it is a different history. There are a lot of things I could do better in the last experience. But sometimes it is like that. You need to learn to reach a different level. That is my thinking here.”
“Everyone learns from their experience. I learn a lot. I did some mistakes. I will try to change but there are some things you never change. I think I will be better. That is all,” he concluded.
