After the Attacks on the South... Salam: Israel Must Halt Escalation!

Prime Minister Nour al-Salam stated that "the Israeli escalation witnessed since early today in the city of Nabatiye, the town of Anzar, Dier al-Zahrani, and neighboring villages, along with intense airstrikes and bombardment and intimidation of residents in their homes, is extremely dangerous and undermines efforts to stabilize the south."

He added: "The seven martyrs from the Israeli airstrike on the town of Anzar are not 'military infrastructure,' and the children and women killed there are not military targets. The responsibility for dealing with any military infrastructure, if found on Lebanese soil, lies solely with the Lebanese state through the Lebanese Army and its legitimate institutions. Their presence does not grant Israel the right to violate Lebanese territory or endanger civilians."

He concluded: "Israel must stop this escalation. The security of our people and their right to life on their land are not subject to negotiation or compromise."
