Aoun and King Abdullah Stress Stability Consolidation and End to War State

Lebanese President Michel Aoun began his official meetings following his arrival in the French capital with a visit to Jordan's King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein at his residence.

During the meeting, President Aoun expressed condemnation of recent attacks on Jordan, while expressing appreciation for Jordan's continuous support to the Lebanese Army and efforts to convene the international conference supporting the army and internal security forces, along with providing aid through the land bridge following Israeli attacks.

The meeting included discussions on bilateral relations and underscored the need to follow up on implementing 21 agreements and memoranda of understanding signed during last January's sessions of the High-Level Joint Committee.

In turn, Jordan's monarch reiterated his country's stance of support for Lebanon and condemned Israeli attacks on its territory, announcing his backing for ongoing efforts and negotiations aimed at ending the state of war and achieving stability, with an agreement to continue coordination and align positions between the two countries.
