Shaqir Briefs Aoun on Saudi Visit Results and General Security Affairs

Director General of General Security, Major General Hassan Shaqir, briefed President of the Republic Joseph Aoun on the results of his visit to Saudi Arabia, and they discussed the general situation in the country and the work of General Security.

On another note, President Aoun called on the new board of directors of the Litani River National Interest Authority, headed by Sami Alawieh, to work towards making the Authority a model of productive administration that transforms national resources into services and development opportunities, placing the public interest above any other consideration. He highlighted the importance of the Litani Authority, which manages one of Lebanon's most vital water resources, ensuring its proper investment for irrigation and hydroelectric power production.
