Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, as well as the accelerating security developments in the south, during a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The conversation also covered issues of mutual concern to both countries.

President Aoun thanked Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for the UAE's sustained attention to Lebanon's needs across all fronts and for the support provided to alleviate the hardships faced by Lebanese citizens amid the country's current difficult circumstances.

During the call, President Aoun noted that the visit of the UAE delegation led by Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi to Lebanon, the fruitful meetings held with Lebanese officials and business leaders, and the warm reception given to the Lebanese delegation that visited Abu Dhabi last week reflect the depth of fraternal relations between the two brotherly nations and lay the foundation for enhanced cooperation in all economic, commercial, and investment fields.
