Aoun: Lebanon Was the First to Call for Economic Cooperation Among Arab Countries

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun noted that "Lebanon was the first to call for economic cooperation among Arab countries, modeled after the European Common Market which later transformed into the European Union."

President Aoun emphasized, before a delegation from the "Arab Mashreq Forum" led by Mr. Nasser Al-Khalil, on "Lebanon's commitment to keeping the headquarters of specialized Arab unions in Beirut, despite the difficult circumstances it has gone through and continues to face."
