A legal source stated that one month passing since the filing of the appeal against the amnesty law does not make last Saturday, or Monday due to Saturday being a holiday, a final deadline after which the law becomes effective. The period is calculated from the date a member was assigned to follow up on the file, meaning the legal duration could exceed one month.

The source told "An-Nahar" newspaper that "in a second estimate, the Council will meet on Monday and keep its session open until an agreement is reached to accept the appeal, or no agreement is reached, which would drop the appeal. A decision is expected in the next two days."

Additionally, "An-Nahar" learned that the necessity of approval by 7 members to accept the appeal is not available at this moment, and there is no direction towards invalidating specific articles, as that would inevitably lead to reconsideration after back-and-forth and delays.
