The fifth convoy of relief and medical aid provided by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan arrived at the Al-Masnaa border crossing. It was received by Jordanian Ambassador Walid Al-Hadid, Secretary-General of the Higher Relief Commission Brigadier General Bassam Nabulsi at the head of a delegation from the Commission, along with the head of the Al-Masnaa border crossing center in the General Security, Lieutenant Colonel Ihab Al-Dirani, and a number of officials and relevant official authorities.
The Jordanian Ambassador affirmed that "the entry of the convoy via the Al-Masnaa crossing comes in implementation of the high royal directives aimed at supporting brotherly Lebanon and assisting it in the difficult circumstances it is going through, and as a continuation of the Kingdom's steadfast approach of standing by the Lebanese people."
He explained that the convoy "includes 25 trucks loaded with food, relief supplies, medicines, flour, and infant formula, and it is the fruit of joint cooperation between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Higher Relief Commission, and the World Food Programme."
He pointed out that the aid "will be transported to the Rayak military base pending its distribution to centers for displaced persons and needy families," noting that this convoy "will not be the last, and relief efforts will continue in cooperation with international partners as long as the need to support the displaced and affected in Lebanon persists."
