Beirut Mayor After Meeting with Berri: Large Tenders to Be Announced
Beirut Mayor Ibrahim Zaidan said after meeting with Speaker Nabih Berri that major tenders will soon be publicly launched, including infrastructure projects exceeding $25 million and initiatives addressing pollution and public health.

Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri received Gharsia al-Qazi, General Director of Customs, at his residence in Ayn al-Tineh, where she presented the directorate's work across its various departments.
He also met with Grand Mufti of the Jafari sect Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalil, discussing general conditions, political and field developments, and national issues.
Berri received a delegation from the Beirut Municipal Council, led by Ibrahim Zaidan, with Member of the "Development and Liberation" bloc MP Muhammad Khawaja present. The meeting addressed general conditions, particularly developmental ones, and the council’s upcoming work programs, especially the projects to be implemented.
After the meeting, Beirut Mayor Ibrahim Zaidan stated: "Our visit to President Nabih Berri was to inform him about the Beirut Municipal Council’s activities and plans over the past year, especially the significant foundational works completed and the tenders prepared for public procurement, which concern roads, infrastructure, tree rehabilitation, parking areas, and more.
He added: "All tenders will soon be publicly launched transparently and competitively. Major tenders will be announced, including an infrastructure tender exceeding $25 million, a pollution remediation tender, and other health and development projects.
He concluded: "We thank President Berri for his continuous support to the capital Beirut, especially during the recent crisis caused by the Israeli aggression."
