Brigadier General Kfoury Discusses with Al-Hajjar the Reality of Work at Beirut and Qulayat Airports

Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al-Hajjar was briefed by the Head of the Airport Security Apparatus, Brigadier General Fadi Kfoury, on security measures at Beirut Airport.
During the meeting, Brigadier General Kfoury reviewed the reality of work inside the airport premises and its surroundings, in addition to the measures taken to enhance monitoring and inspection, in line with the movement of arrivals and travelers.
For his part, Al-Hajjar stressed the "necessity of giving absolute priority to maintaining security at the airport, as it is the first gateway for arrivals to Lebanon and a fundamental interface that reflects the image of the country." He gave the necessary directives to enhance inspection and monitoring procedures and take all measures capable of maintaining security, ensuring the safety of arrivals and travelers and the proper regularity of work.
The meeting also addressed preparations related to the reopening of President René Moawad Airport – Qulayat, and the security measures to be taken during the upcoming period, ensuring the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to keep pace with any future steps related to its operation.
