Cautious Optimism Prevails Ahead of Rome Talks on Withdrawal and Deployment

Political sources informed Al-Jadeed channel that preparations for the Rome negotiations have begun among various parties to discuss issues related to withdrawal, deployment, and military and civilian missions. However, there are no guarantees concerning the speed of implementation or the extent of Israeli responsiveness.

The sources added that the official Lebanese side has been notified of the timing for the Rome talks but has not received any information regarding the villages or towns proposed as trial areas. They described the atmosphere as cautiously positive rather than pessimistic.
