What Will the Next Round of Negotiations Focus On?
A new round of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel will take place in Rome on Tuesday and Wednesday, focusing on establishing a verification force for the demilitarization of experimental zones. The U.S. aims to expand the areas where Israeli forces withdraw, to be replaced by Lebanese military presence.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that a new round of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Rome, focusing on establishing a verification force for the demilitarization of experimental zones.
It added that "the United States wishes to expand the areas of Israeli withdrawal where the Lebanese army will deploy."
