Death Claims Former Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Michel Malaoui

Death has claimed former Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, lawyer Michel Essa Malaoui.

The funeral prayer for his soul will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in downtown Beirut, before the procession departs for Rachiya al-Wadi, where a Trisagion service will take place at the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Lady, and he will be laid to rest in the family cemetery.

Condolences will be received on Thursday, August 6, prior to burial, starting at 10:00 AM in the hall of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in downtown Beirut. On Friday, August 7, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the same location. On Saturday, August 8, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM in the hall of the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Lady in Rachiya al-Wadi.
