Defense Minister Michel Moussa reaffirmed Lebanon's stance on restoring state sovereignty and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, emphasizing the importance of negotiations as the best available path forward.

Defense Minister Michel Moussa addressed the people of the south, saying: "Our presence will not waver until you all return to your homes with heads held high."
Speaking from the Bnoua Barracks in Saida, he highlighted the Lebanese government's efforts to improve service levels.
He also acknowledged the work of the Lebanese Army, which continues its duties despite difficult conditions and limited resources.
"We are here to reaffirm our position calling for the restoration of state sovereignty over all its territory and the withdrawal of the Israeli army—this is the primary goal of negotiations and the best available means," said Moussa.
