Tensions rise over Italy's participation in the verification committee for Lebanon's military operations in experimental zones, with Israel opposing France's involvement.

Sources told "Sky News Arabia" that the issue of Italy's participation in the committee verifying the completion of the Lebanese army's tasks in experimental areas remains unresolved.
According to sources, Rome reached an agreement between Lebanon and Israel on a list of several countries, including Italy, to participate in the committee verifying the completion of the Lebanese army's tasks in experimental areas, but Israel refuses France's participation in the committee.
Sources noted that Lebanon insists on Israel's commitment to maintaining the ceasefire, halting dredging and blasting operations in the south, and accepting new experimental zones.
They added that if Israel rejects Lebanon's conditions, Beirut will suspend its participation in the upcoming eighth round, expected at the beginning of September.
