Economic Directorate of the North issued five violation reports and seized six private electricity generators in Tripoli and the Port, following instructions from the Appellate Public Prosecutor in the North.

The Economic Directorate of the North continued its regulatory inspections of private electricity generator operators in Tripoli city and the Port municipality, conducted jointly with State Security and Tripoli Municipality. These inspections resulted in the issuance of five violation reports and the seizure of six electrical generators, acting on instructions from the Appellate Public Prosecutor in the North.
Four of the seized generators were handed over to Tripoli Municipality and two to Port Municipality, as detailed below:
1. Generator E. at Al-Nour Square: Seized after a prior violation report was issued against it on 12/08/2026; found charging 77 cents per kilowatt-hour.
2. Generator M. in the Al-Dam–Al-Farz area: Subject to both a violation report and seizure; charging 70 cents per kilowatt-hour.
3. Generator A. in Muharram: Subject to both a violation report and seizure; charging 70 cents per kilowatt-hour.
4. Generator M. in Bab al-Raml: Subject to both a violation report and seizure; charging 70 cents per kilowatt-hour.
5. Generator A. in Al-Mina Al-Masakin: Subject to a violation report and seizure due to failure to install meters.
6. Generator N. in Al-Mina Al-Masakin: Subject to a violation report; found charging 80 cents per kilowatt-hour and non-compliant with meter installation requirements — only 12 meters installed out of 500 subscribers.
