Environment Committee Follows Up on Studying This File...
The subcommittee of the Environment Committee held a session chaired by MP Najat Aoun to continue studying the draft law aimed at protecting underwater cultural heritage.

The subcommittee emanating from the Environment Committee held a session at ten o'clock chaired by MP Najat Aoun and attended by MPs: Qassem Hashem and Nazih Matta. Also attending the session were representatives of the Ministry of National Defense, Brigadier General Mazen Basbous, Lieutenant Colonel Munir Aqiqi, Lieutenant Colonel Antoine Al-Qazi; the representative of the Ministry of Culture, Director General of Antiquities Sarkis Khoury; the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Ambassador George Bitar; the representative of the Ministry of Energy and Water, Engineer Kabi Daaboul; the representative of the General Directorate of General Security, Colonel Mazen Saqr; the representative of the Beirut Bar Association, Chantal Ghosh; and the experts: Diana Qaisi, Dr. Manal Nader, and Nazek Al-Dibs. This was to continue studying the draft law aimed at protecting underwater cultural heritage. The committee reviewed all the observations sent by the participants in the subcommittee, most of which were adopted, with discussions to be continued in subsequent sessions.
