Fuel station owners syndicate head George Al-Baraks wrote on the "X" platform: "We reject the 2% tax that confiscated the people's right to benefit from the decline in oil prices globally. People have been displaced, the country is at war, businesses have stopped, and imposing taxes now is a detachment from reality and a stab at purchasing power, and it will push the economy toward recession. Station commissions have evaporated due to increased fees and operational costs. We will have something to say soon."
